3 Super Cute Hairstyles to Wear with Straw Hats

The sun is shining today, and its' the perfect day to break out those straw hats! Hats protect you from the harsh sun rays while providing super chic style.That being said, summer hats can sometimes start to get old pretty quickly. A great way to mix up your straw styles and keep your look fresh is switching up your hairstyles! Try these three super cute hair and straw-hat combinations -perfect for end-of-the-summer festivals!


Straw Fedora with Messy Bun

How to get the look:

1) Don’t brush your hair first! This look is supposed to be messy, so keep your second day hair as is.

2) Leave out two strands of hair to frame your face and gather the rest of your hair into a low ponytail.

3) Tease the ponytail and use some hairspray to add some volume

4) Wrap your hair around the base of the ponytail and then secure with either a hair-tie or bobby pins

5) Pull out some extra hair strands around the face and/or from the bun for an added messy look

How to get the look:

1) Use a heat protectant spray

2) Take a small section of hair and start wrapping it around the curling iron – keep the section flat while doing this and don’t twist the hair

3) Keep wrapping until you get to the end of the hair

4) Spray with hairspray

1) Use second day hair for this hairstyle and prep with dry shampoo

2) Part your hair in the middle and split hair into two even sections

3) Put the section you aren’t working with into a ponytail so it stays out of the way

4) Split the section you’re working with into two sections. Hold one in each hand.

5) Take a little subsection of the hair from the outside on the section on the right

6) Cross the subsection on over the right section and add it to the section on the left.

7) Repeat on the left side

8) Keep repeating steps 6 and 7 until you’ve reached the ends of your hair and secure with a hair tie

9) Repeat steps 5-8 with the other section of hair

10) Pull out some strands of hair in the front to frame your face
