It’s finally Halloweekend! We don’t know about you, but Halloween is one of our favorite holidays around here. While some have been in spooky season mode since the start of autumn, some of us have struggled to find the time to get up thatHalloween decor. If you are more of the latter, don’t start worrying yet – there's still time! Check out two of our favorite DIY Halloween decorations along with a super cute Halloween themed recipe below.

Trash Bag Spider

You will need:

  • 2 black trash bags
  • Paper or Leaves
  • Scissors
  • Black duct tape (optional)

Step 1:

Fill one of the trash bags with either crumpled up paper or leaves. Make sure the bag is pretty full, but not totally stuffed. Either tape or tie the bag shut.

Step 2:

Using the scissors, cut up the other trash bag into 5 long strips.

Step 3:

Tie one of the strips to tie around the filled trash bag about ¾ of the way up. This will create the head of the spider.

Step 4:

Tie another strip around where the previous strip is. This will create 2 of the spider legs.

Step 5:

Repeat step 4 until all of the remaining strips have been tied onto the spider.

Bloody Candles

You will need:

  • A few white candles
  • One or two skinny red candles
  • A hair dryer

Step 1:

Put the hair dryer on high heat and start to heat up one end of your red candle. You might want to do this over a paper towel or wax paper as it could get messy!

Step 2:

While holding the non-hot side of the red candle, hold it above a white candle and drip the liquid red wax over the top and side of the candle

Step 3:

Wait for the candles to dry
