Check in With Yourself
When life gets busy and stressful, finding the time to connect with yourself can be difficult – we get it. But trust us when we say everybody starts to feel the effects of burnout and taking time for yourself is so so crucial. Spend some time on Monday to pay attention to how you are really feeling. If this is difficult for you, try writing in a journal or pretending that you’re writing a letter to a friend. Take this time to really analyze yourself; you may be surprised at what you find out.
We-Time
While getting in some me-time is ultra-important for your mental health, we-time is much needed too! Building a sense of community helps us feel not so alone, and connecting with others can instantly boost our moods! Here are a few ways to easily get some quality we-time other than just hanging out with some friends.
- Check in with loved ones
- Volunteer at your local library and/or senior center
- Talk to your co-workers and/or peers
- A simple hello!
- Thank someone who is important to you
- Talk to a counselor or therapist
- Go on a walk with a loved one
